General Terms and Conditions Phil Coucke
The General Terms and Conditions set out below apply to all products/art works/prints that are sold on this website. By placing an order on this website the purchaser accepts the terms and conditions set out below without reservation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or in case of any uncertainty about the general terms and conditions/your order.
Product photographs, prices & payment
All prices on this website are stated in euros, including VAT. Any import/customs duties, however, are payable by the purchaser.
All photographs of the art works have been made using a professional camera. Due to lighting, reflections etc. the photographs may, however, have minor differences in colour from the original work; they cannot constitute grounds for refusing the goods that have been sent out.
The stated price only applies to the items as described in words. The accompanying photographs are intended for decorative purposes and may show elements that are not included in the price.
Payment can be made using Bancontact, Ideal, PayPal and credit cards, and this uses a secure connection. The buyer also has the opportunity to transfer the amount to my account number (the number will be sent by e-mail on request). In that case the goods are sent after the full purchase price has arrived in the artist’s account. The products delivered remain the sole property of the artist until full payment has been made. Responsibility for the work of art passes to the purchaser on receipt of the work.
The works of art have been created with the greatest care. Some surfaces used, such as plexiglass, are experimental materials whose long-term characteristics are not known. The artist is not responsible for this. We recommend hanging/preserving all works of art carefully and keeping them out of direct sunlight. It is also recommended to clean the glass in frames or painted plexiglass (only the unpainted side) using special glass cleaning products. Sculptures are intended for indoor use only.
Postage & delivery
The product will be carefully packaged and posted within ten days. From experience, customers receive their orders at home after 14 days on average. We do our best to ensure that orders reach the customer as quickly as possible. If the customer desires a specific delivery time or priority postage, this can of course be agreed by discussing it with the artist.
If there is visible damage at the time of delivery, the purchaser must refuse the delivery on an ‘as damaged’ basis, must inform the transport company of this and must return the work in its original packaging to the artist.
The purchaser has a right to revoke his purchase, ipso jure, within 14 days.
Within this period he/she may, without stating his/her reasons, return the work in exchange for the purchase price, provided the work is returned in its original packaging and reaches the artist in a completely undamaged condition; the purchaser is responsible for return postage and for any damage.
The artist also reserves the right to cancel an order placed in his web shop if the stated details or images were not correct for any reason whatsoever.
The information entered by the purchaser in order to place an order will be dealt with in confidence and not be disclosed to a third party under any circumstances. In case of any dispute, Belgian law is solely applicable.
