'oLa' collection

The 'oLa' collection is an extensive collection of special shapes that emerge during my dreams. I capture these in collages & then work with them through my art projects to create a kind of 'human story'.  

oLa stands for Open Language Art.  It is ‘Open’ because the shapes create a strong sense of openness and infinity, while ‘Language’ refers to the meanings they convey (I originally trained as a translator), as well as the fact that many people have told me the symbols remind them of ancient languages. The collection now includes about 40 shapes.
